Welcome back Mayor Fred Eisenberger who in his previous term was a heavy proponent of light rail transit which will continue the transformation the old Hamilton to the new Hamilton where both young and old flock to a thriving downtown for employment, entertainment, dining and shopping. This is happening already but we all know how much more can be gained by increased property values and related taxes should we get our LRT. Make no mistake, LRT was a major election issue that divides this city between Hamilton and the surrounding communities that make up the amalgamated Hamilton as LRT would likely increase taxes for all amalgamated Hamiltonians whereas the most immediate impact will felt in the lower city.
I’m really excited to see Mayor Fred back as the leader of this wonderful city. A leader who is both a visionary and someone council will support.

Change is the Only Constant…
and changes to our lives and business has necessitated further changes…
2014 has been our most challenging year in many wonderful WONDERFUL ways:
1. The birth of our daughter Robin which has rocked our lives for the better 🙂
Don’t let that cute face fool you, she is a handful (I have no idea how you parents with more than one or you single parents do this. Parenting is way more challenging than real estate investing!! Subject for a future blog post :))
As new parents do, we reduced our work commitments (more so Cherry than I) to raise Robin, leaving me mostly on my own for the Mr Hamilton business and it has been most challenging when the work of two must now be done by the work of ONE (me).
Plus we bought a new investment property in March for Robin. No regrets but it sure does increase the chaos level in our already chaotic lives 😀
2. We have more clients and more business than ever plus we have client/investor success standards we’re committed to delivering. With the reduced bandwidth by Cherry and myself, we needed help – and not just any help – but the best talent possible! So off I went searching the four corners of the world for a sophisticated, veteran real estate investor to become an investor Realtor to coach our clients on successful investing. As many of you already know, we found our man in James Tiberious Maggs who we are proud to announce that as of Friday has quit big corporate in order to fulfill a dream of being full time in real estate as both a Realtor and investor. Please make James feel welcome and congratulate him on taking a massive step towards living life on his terms.
With James now on board, we welcome more challenges and referrals as James’ role as an investor specialist will primarily be helping clients acquire investment properties and build cash flowing portfolios. I will continue to work with investors, including an increased focus on listing investment properties and regular real estate in the Burlington and Hamilton areas. 3. Cherry being a mom now is shelving the hectic, on the road lifestyle of an investment Realtor to focus on and expand her accounting/bookkeeping business for small business operators including real estate investors and real estate agents.
