I first met Ryan Carr at a Durham real estate networking event.
I believe most investors should already know Ryan. He’s been on my podcast more than anyone else, and he’s always up to something big, whether it’s writing articles about how to increase cash flow by renting out sheds, vertical splitting of a duplex, tiny homes, etc.

The housing market is constantly fluctuating, and the advice that is available online can sometimes be outdated – with articles that were written years prior still holding top spots on search engines.

Networking Events and Joint Venture Deals
Some investments are simply too much for a single investor to handle. However, if you can partner with investors who may have experience in areas you typically struggle, those larger investments become significantly more manageable.
These deals made between multiple investors are called Joint Venture (JV) deals.
One of the biggest obstacles that investors face when pursuing JV deals is the difficulty of finding a fellow investor who has what they need to make the deal go through. Whether that is renovation experience, initial capital or down payment funds, or the property management experience necessary to achieve long-term success in the property.
However, at networking events, you have the opportunity to meet those same investors you would have otherwise struggled to find and connect with.
