Hello Everyone with real estate investments in Hamilton Ontario!!
What an amazing turnout at this past Saturday’s Mr Hamilton Inner Circle Meeting!! Thank you to all for the kind words. From the first timers to my veteran, millionaire investor clients, it makes us happy to know that we can prepare talks and have guest speakers who provide value to both novices and professionals at the same time. As always, it was a packed room of over 50 investors and the conversations were impressive!! I truly do wish such groups were around when I started investing as the knowledge and support would have been a great help for a quiet, shy, mid 20’s Asian kid stuck in analysis paralysis.
Sorry if you missed the last one BUT you can register for the next one here: www.mrhamilton.ca/innercircle as we have a Hamilton land developer, Charles Wah coming out to share his story and lessons learned. We also have Chartered Accountant, Cherry Chan sharing the latest practical Accounting tips for investors, and Erwin “Mr. Hamilton†Szeto and team will provide the latest and greatest news and tips on investing that we picked up from the streets of Hamilton. Honest to goodness, you will not find this NEXT LEVEL education anywhere else. Register today as we consistently have to waitlist late registrants!! www.mrhamilton.ca/innercircle
What can you do in six weeks?
For my veteran clients, they laugh and smirk at the idea of NOT being able to buy a quality investment property in six weeks (note, we are not talking about apartment buildings).
For novices, including our friends and family who do NOT already invest, the challenge is comparable to climbing Mt. Everest, accompanied by the same risks (but really it’s all in their head). Maybe I take my Business school training for granted because the root of everything we were taught was studying real businesses with real problems needing to be solved and often there was a best practice to be applied and to learn from. e.g. We toured Toyota’s Cambridge facility as part of our study of kaizen, the process of continuous improvement.
Kaizen is exactly the process we apply to our investing. It’s constantly improving as we aggregate data from what works and does not work. And the results are predictably successful when you apply best practice systems in your investing.
In the non-investing side of our lives, my wife and I are taking part in a six week challenge at our gym (http://radixperformance.com/). The challenge includes:
- A nutrition/food plan; we are getting measured for body fat % and muscle mass before and after.
- One lifestyle change (eg. 3 hrs more sleep/week, less electronics, wake up early, etc.)
- Commitment to three workouts per week
- One lift goal. Mine is to best my lifetime, personal best of dead lifting 425lbs
- The six week ends with a Crossfit competition
Here’s Cherry and I squeezing in a driveway workout of 21 kettle-bell swings, 600M run, 15 kettle-bell swings, 600M run, 9 kettle-bell swings, 600M run. It’s plenty to get the sweat going as my neighbour’s six year old noticed as she was asking why sweat was dripping from my face… including warm-up, we were done in 30 minutes.
In our investing lives, our latest acquisition of a house on the Hamilton Mountain will be renovated and rented out within the next six weeks, then we will begin the search for our next investment property. It sounds easy because I’m surrounded by the best real estate professionals there are and you can be too. And you can have your first or next investment property too within the next six weeks. You just need to let us know you’re ready: http://mrhamilton.ca/contact/
Thanks for reading and happy Hamilton real estate investing everyone!
