Hello Investors of Hamilton Real Estate!!
Thank you to those of you who were kind enough to nominate me for Canadian Real Estate Wealth Magazine’s Real
Estate Agent of the Year award! This award is different from the others (but just as meaningful) as it is a national award within the investment community and among the other outstanding finalists for the award. Somehow the little guy with a great team, looking out for the best interests of their clients, got recognized for what we feel is doing the right thing; everyday. I guess nice guys do NOT always finish last.
- Thank you to my wife, family and Mr Hamilton Team: James and Meaghan, this award I share with you!
- Thank you to my clients for putting your faith in us for some of the largest investments you will ever make in your lives. We do not take this responsibility lightly and are grateful for each and every one of you.
- Thank you to my real estate coach for flying in from Ottawa to be a part of the event
- Thank you to the esteemed judging panel: Don Campbell, Julie Broad, Pierre Paul Turgeon, Quentin D’souza; you’re all leaders in this industry, I look up to all of you and I’m truly honoured by your consideration for this award.
- Finally, thank you Canadian Real Estate Wealth Magazine for putting on such a great event!!
If you would like to benefit from spending your time around award winners, we are hosting Mr Hamilton’s Inner Circle
Meeting this coming Saturday, March 12th!!
Besides Mr Hamilton presenting the latest trends and economic fundamentals on investing in Hamilton, we added a guest speaker! Veteran investor and coach, Tim Hong, will share his lessons from owning an apartment building in Hamilton and how it fit into his rather large investment portfolio. If you’ve ever considered apartment building investing, this is not a presentation you want to miss!!!
Congratulations to fellow finalists, clients and friends of the Mr Hamilton Team: Charles and Kensen Wah, finalists for Newcomers of the Year!! They already collected their Silver Awards from REIN last month and have big things planned in the next few years to come.
IBM moving into Stelco tower, bringing jobs downtown Hamilton

Sources tell the CBC the company will occupy six floors of 100 King Street West, the office tower formerly called the Stelco Tower. The company will make the announcement on Tuesday.
The Stelco Tower, part of the Jackson Square complex, is one of Hamilton’s tallest buildings, and currently has a large number of empty floors. It’s a symbolic structure in the city. The 26-storey tower is the former head office of Stelco, a now-defunct steel producer and once one of Hamilton’s major employers.
“What do I hope?” said Trevisani (head of IBM Canada), a Hamilton native. “Well, if you look at what we did in Halifax, we started with 100 jobs and now over 600 jobs.”
In addition to the IBM partnership, HHS will move more than 300 administrative jobs into 100 King Street West from the Chedoke site, which the corporation is selling.
More quality, white collar and admin jobs moving to downtown Hamilton, eh? Maybe you should consider investing in the affordable areas around downtown?
Opportunity is not hard to find when you understand economic fundamentals and these new jobs and income growth should support rents and price appreciation.
Thanks for reading and happy Hamilton real estate investing everyone!
